free enjoyable, fishing experience. We offer diving trips which can be discussed at the time of enquiring about a booking. We are based at the Leigh Wharf however we do leave from Ti Point wharf on the odd occasion, we will advise you at the time of booking which wharf we will leave from. Leigh is a lovely 1 ¼ hour’s drive from Auckland. If you use the new toll road motorway you will be in Leigh a bit quicker it is a lovely drive and saves 15 minutes on your trip well worth its $2.00 each way. If you are coming from Whangarei your drive will be about 1 ½ hours. Your Skipper Raymon has been a keen fisherman from a little boy to starting work as a deckhand on boats from the age of 15 years. He has 19 years skippering Commercial Fishing Vessels experience and has owned and operated his own long lining boat for seven years. Raymon has a first aid certificate, is a volunteer fire fighter and responds to first response medical emergencies with the Leigh Fire Brigade. He has been with them for eleven and a half years. He is very safety conscious to ensure a safe, stressfreee and fun trip. Raymon and Pam are a husband & wife team. Pam is based in the office and also works as a deckhand, IF YOU DON’T WANT TO HAVE HER ON YOUR CHARTER PLEASE ADVISE US AT TIME OF BOOKING: NO OFENCE WILL BE TAKEN. she is learning the tricks of the trade to become an experienced deckhand. Pam often puts her line out, however any fish caught by her are always given to the clients on the charter. They only had the boat for seven weeks when Pam caught a 20lb snapper locally and she had never been fishing in her life until they purchased their boat, it was her fourth time fishing on the boat.
